How to Choose your T-shirt Size
Buying the Correct Size T-Shirt
(Oh, the wailing and the gnashing of the teeth!!)
The No. 1 way to get the correct size t-shirt is to buy a brand you already own. So if you're looking at buying a Bella + Canvas t-shirt or tank top, and you already own one that fits you, THEN BUY THAT SIZE. Don't make me get up and -- no, no, I won't say that. Gotta remember what the lawyers said.
The next best way is to follow the sizing guide put out by the t-shirt maker. Hopefully, they will have one. Not to toot our own horn (yes, we really are), every t-shirt, tank top, hoodie, sweatshirt, etc., on sale on Mr. Shazz (at MrShazz.com) has a sizing chart on each product page.
This is the sizing chart for Bella + Canvas. They are not the only brand of t-shirts that we use, but they have a standard sizing for their items.
|Width (inches)||16 ½||18||20||22||24||26||28||30|
Personally, as a man, I would choose a size larger if I wasn't sure. Since I've never been a woman, I'll not venture into what they prefer to do. I'll end this by saying if you buy a t-shirt that is a little bit large, you can still wear it, but if you buy one that is too small, you have an expensive cleaning rag.
